Anne-Camille Allueva develops a body of works related the processes of creation and appearance of the photographic image.
She proposes to define the image as a material, exploring its peculiarities and relations with space.
Working within photographical and sculptural objects, she seeks to propose a movement of commitment towards the visible. She uses materials whose treatments allow her to materialize notions that seems fundamental to her in the comprehension of the photographic and its modalities of appartions. She explores the dialectical components of the image : through opacity and transparency, surface and
layers, presence and absence, shape and evoked shape.
Based on a theoretical approach in relation to photography, her latest works invest the larger question of the visible and its phenomena of appearance. Anne-Camille Allueva seeks to explore the source of the visible: a phenomenon, an experience, a temporality, thus questioning the act of seeing as well as being in a state of presence.
Anne-Camille is graduated from HEAR Strasbourg (BA) in 2008 and ENSP Arles (MA)in 2013. She recently presented her work at CPIF (Pontault-Combault), BIT.20 (Paris), La Galerie Particulière (Paris- Bruxelles) and at Extra Fort Recyclart (Bruxelles). Her work series Tape-Volume has been acquired by the Arthothèque Départementale du Lot. In 2017, she issued her first self-published book Particles. She received in 2019 the AIC grant for her sculptural project : Endless Present. She will take part of the residency program at RAVI Liège in 2021.
